- Why does Potential Church do mission trips?
Because people matter. And sometimes people need us to come to them with help, hope, and to share the never-ending love of Jesus Christ.
- Why does Potential Church do God’s work all over the globe?
Because we have been commanded by scripture to do so:
"And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation." Mark 16:15
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:19
"For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Romans 10:13-15
"For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” Acts 13:47
"Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!” 1 Chronicles 16:24
- Why missions?
